MiSight Lenses

What MiSight lenses are

MiSight 1 day is a soft, single-use contact lens designed specifically to slow the progression of myopia in children. It's the first contact lens of its kind to receive FDA approval for myopia control, backed by a multi-year clinical study showing it can meaningfully reduce how much a child's nearsightedness worsens over time compared to standard correction.

Unlike regular contact lenses, which simply correct blur, MiSight is built with a special optical design that treats both the center of vision and the way light falls on the peripheral retina — the signal that drives the eye to keep growing longer, and blurrier, over time.

How the daily-wear design works for kids

Because MiSight is a daily disposable, there's no cleaning, no solution, and no lens case to keep track of — your child opens a fresh, sterile lens each morning and throws it away at night. That simplicity makes it one of the easier contact lens options for children to manage on their own, including at school or during sports and swim practice.

Most children adapt to insertion and removal within a few visits, and our team walks both parent and child through hands-on practice until everyone is comfortable with the daily routine.

Is MiSight the right fit?

MiSight tends to work well for children who are motivated to wear a daily contact lens, want the freedom to be active without glasses, and are approved candidates for myopia control based on their exam and axial length measurements. It's one of several options we offer alongside orthokeratology and low-dose atropine, and the right choice depends on your child's age, comfort with lenses, and how quickly their myopia is progressing.
